(Wesley Chapel, FL: June 27, 2013) HPEV, Inc. (OTCQB:WARM), an innovator in energy efficiency and heat removal technologies, and Inverom Corporation, a leading vehicle systems management innovator, are responding to customer demand to market HPEV’s Mobile Auxiliary Power System (“MAP”). HPEV and Inverom are moving aggressively to address this multi-billion dollar market through a product partnership.
Customers are asking to have necessary power at worksites (construction equipment, utility work trucks, refrigerated trucks, etc.) without having to use heavy tow-behind generators. The HPEV MAP generates the same power as most tow-behind generators and is usable anytime and anywhere, as the MAP is built into their existing truck.
The MAP employs HPEV’s patent-pending gearing system that uses any truck’s (class 2-6) internal combustion engine to power an on-board generator that is more efficient to use than any mobile vehicle system on the market today. This solution is a lower cost alternative to towing a trailer or skid-mounted generator to a worksite. Installing the MAP allows the existing truck to become a mobile generator to your home, power compressors, welders or even bucket truck arms. In the event of an outage or disaster, businesses can have immediate standby power available when and where it’s needed to keep facilities open and minimize losses due power outages.
The MAP doesn’t require any government approval or certification and does not affect truck warranties. The system is vehicle agnostic and can work with any type of engine or hybrid.
With an optional battery pack or fuel cell, the MAP immediately addresses the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) view and rules framework that vehicle idling is harmful to the atmosphere and life in surrounding areas. Individual states have created their own no-idle laws. Because with the added option, MAP is a storage and generation system, there is no need to idle a vehicle to generate power.
To meet anticipated demand, HPEV and Inverom have established an accelerated commercialization schedule to take orders for systems in the fourth quarter of 2013.
